A Message From Jose Segarra
When I started in real estate in 1994, my first year I sold one house.
My second year, I sold two.
Like many agents starting out, I faced rejection, uncertainty, and the constant pressure of trying to build a business without knowing exactly how to do it.
What kept me going wasn’t talent or a big sales personality. In fact, I was a pretty reserved person and didn’t see myself as a “natural salesperson.”
What kept me going was something deeper — the belief that if I stayed committed, learned from others, and kept improving, real estate could give me the opportunity to build a life on my own terms.
But it wasn’t until I began working with a coach who helped me change the story I was telling myself—and eliminate limiting beliefs—that everything began to change.
Within a few years my business went from struggling to thriving. That experience shaped how I view real estate today.
Because I realized something important: Success in this business is rarely about talent alone. It’s about mindset, guidance, and the environment you’re in.
That realization is what led to the culture we’ve built at Homevets Realty.
My goal is simple.
To create the kind of environment I wish I had when I first started—one where agents are supported, coached, and encouraged to grow not only in their business, but in their lives.
